Local festivals in Ranchi: how the city celebrates together

One of the fastest ways to feel connected to a new city is by experiencing how it celebrates. In Ranchi, festivals are not just religious events they are deeply tied to nature, agriculture, tribal identity, and community life.
For people new to the city, local festivals offer a chance to understand Jharkhand’s culture, participate in neighbourhood celebrations, and slowly feel like a part of the city rather than an outsider.
At Oho Living, we believe comfortable living also means cultural connection staying close to places where the city comes alive during festivals.
